This masterclass is strictly for non-technical professionals and enthusiasts who are genuinely curious about the foundational workings of Artificial Intelligence. This is not a session on how to use AI tools or prompt engineering. Instead, it is designed to demystify AI by focusing purely on the fundamentals: what an AI physically looks like, the 8-decade struggle, the training process, and the core concepts that led to modern systems like LLMs and AGI.
If you've ever wondered how an AI is trained, or how the history of AI connects to today's breakthroughs, this is your definitive guide to gaining the knowledge needed to talk about AI confidently, without any fluff, code, or math.
In 120 Minutes, You Will Master
Module 1: The AI Cold War
The 1959 Hubble and Wiesel experiment, artificial neurons, and the decades-long battle between Symbolic Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Module 2: Artificial Neural Networks
Breaking down the Artificial Neuron, the concept of layered pattern recognition, and how layers of numbers become the AI.
Module 3: Training Data:
How all data (text, images, video) is converted into numbers for the AI, and the critical difference between raw data and "intelligence".
Module 4: The Learning Algorithm
The genius of Geoffrey Hinton's Backpropagation, the Forward and Backward Pass game, and the tricks used to prevent hallucination.
Module 5: Large Language Models (LLMs)
The 2012 "Big Bang" (AlexNet), the Pre-training/Fine-tuning formula, the Transformer (the 'T' in ChatGPT), and the power of Next Word Prediction.
Module 6: Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)
The GPT scaling formula, the role of RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback) in controlling AI, and a look at what the next decade of AI holds.
Meet Your Instructor
Hi, I'm Ayushman Dash, an AI leader, builder, and ex-founder. I’m currently the Head of Data & AI at Jus Mundi, an international legal-tech company in Paris that’s transforming how lawyers, researchers, and institutions access international law.
Before that I was the founder and CEO of NeuralSpace, where we empowered humans to be creative at scale using AI. With over a decade of experience as an AI research scientist in Germany, Canada, and India, I have led impactful collaborations with over 25 companies in more than a decade, and $3 million in funding for NeuralSpace.
Through all this, I have designed and architected large-scale AI projects, led and contributed to RFPs, handled compliance processes for ISO and GDPR certifications, and worked on fundraising, acquisitions, tech due diligence, and much more. Most importantly, I have helped numerous non-tech professionals understand and utilize AI for exponential returns.
While I am proud to say that I have learnt most of this through suffering (as Mark Zuckerberg says), I have realized the value of effective mentorship and the time, money, and effort it could have saved me.
But learning doesn't have to be painful. That is exactly why I want to help you so that you can succeed in any AI initiative that you undertake and lead with confidence.
