🏳️🌈 Queerz Night: Battle of the Social Clubs 🧠🏆
📅 Thursday 19th November
⏰ Meet from 6:30pm
📍 The Bedford, Balham
🧠 Quiz starts: 7:30pm
🏁 Expected finish: around 9:30pm
Right BGO fam… this one feels personal. 😂
As one of London’s longer-standing LGBTQ+ communities, it goes without saying that we should probably turn up, represent, and remind everyone exactly who they’re dealing with.
Of course, it’s not the winning that counts. It’s the taking part.
…although winning would be extremely convenient. 🏆
We’re heading to Queerz Night: Battle of the Social Clubs, where LGBTQ+ communities from across London will be going head-to-head for an evening of quiz chaos, friendly rivalry and questionable displays of general knowledge.
Already signed up are the likes of Gaymers Inc., Alpha Dancers, CAMP Adventure Club, Barks and Boys, Queer Social and plenty more.
We’re aiming to fill two full tables of 8, giving us 16 BGO places in total: 15 members + 1 host.
We’ll meet at The Bedford from 6:30pm, giving us plenty of time to grab a drink, settle in, assemble our finest collection of niche knowledge and decide who is responsible for music questions before the quiz kicks off at 7:30pm.
Expect plenty of laughs, a little healthy competition and the opportunity to meet members from some of London’s other brilliant LGBTQ+ communities.
So, BGO… let’s fill those tables and show the rest who’s the best. 🌈🔥
-------------------------------------------------
1. When and where are we meeting?
We’ll be meeting at The Bedford in Balham from 6:30pm on Thursday 19th November.
2. What time does the quiz start?
The quiz itself kicks off at 7:30pm, so please arrive beforehand to give us time to get everyone seated and organised.
3. What time will the event finish?
We expect the quiz to wrap up at around 9:30pm, although timings may run slightly over.
4. How many BGO spaces are available?
We have space for 16 people across two tables of 8, made up of 15 members and 1 BGO host.
5. Which other groups are taking part?
There are already several LGBTQ+ clubs and communities signed up, including Gaymers Inc., Alpha Dancers, CAMP Adventure Club, Barks and Boys and Queer Social, with others joining too.
6. Do I need to be good at quizzes?
Absolutely not. We need a glorious mixture of useless facts, niche obsessions and people who inexplicably know the answer to questions nobody else does.
7. Will we be competing as one BGO team?
We’ll be split across two BGO tables, so both tables will be representing the community on the night.
8. Can I get food and drinks at the venue?
Yes. The Bedford serves food and drinks, and arriving from 6:30pm gives you time to grab something before the quiz begins.
9. Can I come on my own?
Definitely. BGO events are designed to be welcoming whether you already know people or are joining solo. We’ll get everyone introduced and settled into their tables.
10. Is winning important?
Absolutely not. It is all about taking part, meeting other communities and having a great night.
That said… we would obviously prefer to leave with bragging rights. 😌🏆
