Cacao & the Journey through the Underworld

There are places within us that we rarely dare to enter.

The hidden chambers. The grief. The fear. The parts of ourselves we have rejected, buried or learned to hide.

In this study, we enter the symbolic world of Xibalba the underworld within the Maya cosmology from the Book of Creation "Popol Vuh" and explore what the journey into darkness can teach us about transformation.

Guided by the energy of Kame, we will explore death and rebirth, endings and beginnings, the wisdom of our ancestors, and the parts of ourselves that must be faced before something new can emerge.

Cacao becomes our companion as we turn inward and ask:

What am I afraid to see?
What am I ready to leave behind?
And what is waiting for me on the other side of the descent?

Because the underworld is not simply a place of darkness.

It is a place of initiation.

And sometimes, we have to be willing to descend before we can truly rise.
