My goal with this handbook is to provide an accessible resource that provides insight & resources for some of the common SURFACE LEVEL challenges LEOWs seem to express the most. There are several different topics & each one is structured as: intro, challenges, solutions. In this conversation, I use the language I got from my LEOW friend, Kynsie, & we talk about winter & spring. Winter refers to the hard seasons or obstacles, while Spring is about the growth & solutions to problems.

Each "chapter" has an intro to the topic, a "Winter" section, & a "Spring" section. Interactive prompts & worksheets are sprinkled throughout & the book is 27 total pages, including the title page.

I believe that people who insist on learning their own lessons the hard way are foolish. Why force yourself to learn things the hard way when other people have already walked through it and can reach back to help you along??

My hope with this is to give you the reality, some solutions, and an accessible resource that you can use again & again. Combining my personal experiences, conversations with other LEOWs, & my decade in the mental health/social work field, I've poured my heart & soul into the project. No matter where you are in your LEOW life, you can find something useful in this book.
