Pack
Dose
Three numbered pills, one pack per direction: take #1 at boarding, #2 and #3 the next two nights, and feel human by day two instead of day five.
Most melatonin comes as a bottle of sixty identical pills and no guidance on the one thing that actually matters — when to take them. Arrive comes as three numbered tablets in a single strip, sequenced to your trip. Take #1 at boarding. Take #2 and #3 on the two nights after you land. Nothing to calculate, nothing to work out at 3 a.m. in an unfamiliar hotel room.
Each tablet contains 0.5 mg of melatonin. That's a deliberately low dose. The evidence behind melatonin for travel rests on timing rather than quantity, and larger doses mostly add next-day grogginess you don't want on the first morning of a work trip.
One pack, one trip. Throw the empty strip away and pick up another on your way home.
How to use
Take tablet 1 close to bedtime on the first day of travel. For most long-haul departures, that's at or shortly after boarding. Take tablets 2 and 3 close to bedtime on each of the two following nights at your destination. Take them in order and don't skip a night; the sequence is the product.
