I already perform professionally. Will this actually help me?
Absolutely! Our guides are working professionals themselves, John Archer alone has 30+ years in the business, Dave Loosley just won Magic Circle Close-Up Magician of the Year. This content is built for performers who already know tricks and want to genuinely get better at performing them. It's about the deeper skills behind strong performance, character, audience control, scripting, structure and learning from real-world experience.

I'm a complete beginner - is this too advanced for me?
Not at all. The concepts apply wherever you're currently starting from. A beginner might use them to improve their first proper routine, while an experienced performer might use the same ideas to refine a professional set.

What if I'm camera-shy or don't love being "judged"?
The regular checkpoints are text-based and very short. For the final entry, you control the format, you can talk to camera, use voice-over, show parts of your performance, or combine different formats. We're judging what you learned and applied, not your filmmaking ability.

Do I need expensive equipment or a professional camera?
No. A phone with clear audio and reasonable lighting is more than enough. Production quality is not what wins this challenge.

What happens after the challenge ends - do I lose access to everything?

So this is not temporary access to a 36-day course. You're building a permanent performance training library you can revisit whenever you need it.

Can I use a routine I already perform, or do I have to start from something brand new?
Yes, totally up to you, and that's actually what we'd recommend for most people. Most challengers pick one existing routine they want to improve and apply each concept to it throughout the challenge, but there's no requirement either way.

Is this different from last year's Creativity Challenge?
