"Los Andes unido" - An Argentinian geometric collective of neighbors (Fine Art Framed Print, limited edition)

An iconic, historical and architectural place captured from above the city of Buenos Aires. A collective housing intended for constructors and employees, basically working middle class in the industrial heart of Argentina. "Barrio Parque Los Andes" in Chacarita neighborhood is a project built in 1928 with 12 pavilions, 3 floors of 150 apartments, 23 commercial stores, public restrooms, a public library, laundry, a performance hall, a kindergarten and common green spaces for social use. Modern (and rationalist) style. In my home town where everybody in the street is rushing, I haven't been exception. Never before I noticed this perfectly shaped buildings until I flew my drone above them. And never before I have read about this old but interesting story, fully linked to Argentinian culture and archive history of Buenos Aires. In 2010 it was declared as a historically protected area in recognition for being the first social housing neighborhood in Buenos Aires city. Much more than an everyday city courtyard with a graphic composition of rooftops, trees and pure geometry. A unique story behind the picture.
