Join TRYBZ and Camp Adventure Club for a full-day circular hike through the Chiltern Hills, starting from Tring and taking in Ivinghoe Beacon, Ringshall and the woodland around Ashridge.

Expect rolling hills, big countryside views, a few good climbs and a relaxed picnic lunch along the way, before we finish with food and drinks at The King's Arms in Tring.

This moderately challenging circular route is approximately 17 km, with around 448 m of elevation. We will keep a brisk pace across a mix of hills, woodland paths and open countryside.

🚆 GETTING THERE

• Meet: 10:00am at London Euston

• Train: 10:24am from London Euston to Tring

• Arrival: 11:02am at Tring

• Walking departure: Around 11:15am

You are also welcome to meet us directly at Tring Railway Station. Please let us know in advance so the group knows to expect you there.

The hike finishes back at Tring Railway Station. After food and drinks, you are free to return to London whenever you are ready, with regular direct trains to London Euston.

📍 ROUTE OVERVIEW

We will follow the Tring, Ivinghoe Beacon and Ringshall Circular, heading through the Chiltern countryside and woodland before climbing to Ivinghoe Beacon for some of the best views of the day.

🥪 PICNIC LUNCH

Please bring your own lunch. We will stop somewhere scenic along the route for a relaxed picnic before continuing towards Tring.

🍴 POST-HIKE DINNER & DRINKS

We are planning to finish the day at The King's Arms in Tring for food, drinks and a relaxed social finish.

• Food served from: 5:30pm

• Food and drinks are at your own expense

You are welcome to stay for as long as you fancy or head back to London whenever you are ready.

🌦️ WEATHER

The forecast will be checked closer to the hike and any important updates will be shared with participants.

🧭 GOOD TO KNOW

• Bring at least 2L of water, your picnic lunch and snacks for the walk.

• Bring sun cream and suitable weather protection depending on the forecast.

• Wear comfortable walking shoes or trainers with good grip. The route can get muddy after rain.

• Please arrive at Euston in good time so we can get everyone together and catch the 10:24am train.
