My work is a continuous exploration of Mauritian identity, blending traditional subjects with contemporary acrylic techniques. ​In my signature series, "The Dodo Collection," I aim to breathe new life into an icon of the past. By utilizing a rich palette of acrylics and focusing on intricate textures, I transform the dodo from a historical footnote into a vibrant, living symbol of our natural legacy. Each piece is meticulously crafted to serve as a bridge between the paradise we live in today and the stories that shaped it. ​My creative process is deeply rooted in the light and landscapes of Mauritius. Whether I am working on large-scale canvases or detailed studies, my goal is to provide collectors with more than just a painting—I want to offer a timeless fragment of Mauritian heritage that brings elegance and conversation into any space.

Ever since I was a child, art was never just a hobby for me — it was the way I saw the world.

While other children played during breaks, I was usually drawing, painting, or imagining colours and stories on paper. From a very young age, I was recognised for my artistic talent and consistently ranked first in my class in Fine Art throughout my school years. Art became the place where I felt most alive, most focused, and most myself.

As the years went by, my passion only grew stronger. During my artistic journey, I was honoured to receive two Fine Art trophies, moments that deeply encouraged me to continue pursuing my creativity and expressing emotion through painting. Those achievements were never just awards to me — they were reminders that art was truly part of my purpose.

Today, every painting I create carries a piece of my heart, my story, and my years of dedication. I do not simply recreate photographs. I transform memories into emotional artworks filled with texture, colour, movement, and soul.

My style combines expressive brush strokes, modern acrylic techniques, and emotional storytelling to create paintings that feel alive. Whether it is a couple portrait, a family memory, a beloved pet, or a personal moment, I approach every canvas with care, patience, and genuine emotion.
